I didn't read that much today, so I don't really have much to write in that regard. I plan to go read a bunch right now after writing this post. For now, I will make the section about my day a little longer than normal.

It was a fun day at work. My boss was being a little bit of a hardass as per usual, but it doesn't really bother me. Some people are just high strung. I know deep down he's a cool person. Besides, my coworkers more than made up for it. I worked with a lot of my favorite ones today, and it made for a really fun shift. There were a lot of laughs to be had which made the time pass very quickly. One thing I did today that I'm very proud of myself for was bringing a home lunch. I had leftover pizza from yesterday so I decided to pack it as my lunch. It was an enjoyable meal that saved me a good $20. I don't plan on making it a common thing. After all, as I mentioned in the past, I love eating out way too much. I think eating out at a good restaurant is one of life's great pleasures. But I'm also not opposed to saving an extra $20 every so often. Balance plays an important role in life enjoyment. I can spend my saved money on cool clothes and maybe a trip in the future. I would like to travel and see the world. Places like Italy, which has the most UNESCO world heritage sites in the world, Russia, the birthplace of my current favorite author, and Japan, an obvious choice, are at the top of my list because those places have buildings that have been around since practically the beginning of time. I love the idea of taking a glimpse into the past through such structures. I also wish to see the Great Wall in China and have a gander at the Pyramids in Egypt. Isn't it crazy that these things were hand built by humans? No one knew what a bulldozer was back then. One could say these structures have a dark history, but what doesn't? What would humans accomplish if there were no one to light a fire under them? Would people be willing to work together of their own volition for something like this? In the future of course I hope motivation can be cultivated in a healthy, individual manner, but, as it stands, these structures represent what humans can ultimately be capable of, and I wish to see them with my own eyes. I can't wait to hit the gym on my next day off.
