I feel a little guilty for skipping my blog post yesterday. I write them at night, and yesterday I came home way too blitzed. Drinking on a Sunday? "All things are lawful." It was a rather fun and impromptu gathering. I went to the gym, and when I was finishing my workout one of my friends texted the groupchat to see who wanted to hang out. I said I was game, everyone else did too, and the rest was history. We went to this sort of upscale restaurant/bar for food. It was happy hour, and the food was good and cheap. I got a yaki negitoro don, ginger pork, and a beer. It came out to about $20, it was delicious, and I was very satisfied. I want to go again to try the omurice they have on the menu. The pasta and hamburger steak that one of my friends ordered also looked delicious. After that, we went to Baskin Robbins to peruse the 31. They had a special fantasy-themed cup of ice cream that comes with a dragon, wizard, or fairy cookie and hat. Of course, I picked the dragon. Two of my friends picked the wizard and fairy respectively. One of my friends ignored the whimsical call of the heart and did not get one. Then, we adventured to a karaoke bar clad in our Baskin Robbins gear. While no singing was done that night, we did order a few flagons of ale from the barkeep, met up with our 5th party member, and partook of my friend's new fancy weed pen. I got a little crossfaded, which is a state that, while fun, is not conducive to writing blog posts. Finally, 2 of my friends went home for the day while the other 2 and I went to 7/11 where I smashed a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwhich, a good amount of sushi, a chicken taquito, and an apple pie slurpee. Days don't get much better than that.
I'm very into the rowing machine at the gym, even though I just started it. I think I will start a little beginner routine on it. Here it is if anyone reading this would like to follow along. Of course, my main priority will always be to put on more muscle, but taking my cardio seriously for a little bit can't hurt, if only to gain more experience with that aspect of training. I've never cared at all for cardio in the past, and I'm always open to novel experiences. I'm rather excited.
